Trademarks identify products and services and distinguish a manufacturer or business from competitors. Trademarks become the most valuable asset of an enterprise.
Domain Names
A domain name constitutes a unique name that serves as an electronic address on the Internet and leads to the website owned by a natural/legal person. The extension of the name, [.gr] or [.ελ] for Greek domain names, describes the website type, that is the area of the Internet to which it belongs.
Patents
A Patent is a protection title with a duration of 20 years. It is granted to the patentee for any invention which is new, involves an inventive step and is susceptible of industrial application. It may relate to a product, a process or an industrial application.
Designs
Design is the external visible appearance of the whole or part of a product resulting from the specific features thereof, such as its lines, shape, color etc. A design certificate is granted to the holder, provided it is new and has an individual character, which means that no identical industrial design has been made available to the public, whereas the overall impression it produces on the informed user differs from any other design.
Utility Models
Utility Model is a three-dimensional object with a defined shape and form, which is capable of giving a solution to a technical problem and that is novel and industrially applicable.
Copyright
A work protected by copyright is a creation of the mind in literature, art or science, provided the work is original – in the sense of ‘statistical uniqueness’ – and the work is expressed in any possible form.
