About Us

We are a boutique law firm, specializing in Intellectual Property, representing domestic and international clients, including many internationally well-known companies. We are one of the few legal practices in Greece with a vast experience in the field of trademarks, patents, designs, domain names, unfair competition, anti-counterfeiting, litigation, prosecution and enforcement of IP rights, infringement actions, opposition proceedings, revocation and invalidity actions, injunctions and civil and criminal complaints. We represent clients before the Greek Trademark Office, the Greek Patent Office, the National Telecommunications Committee, the administrative, civil and criminal courts.

We also have vast experience in prosecution of European Union Trademarks (EUTMs) and Registered Community Designs (RCDs) at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), as well as in litigation, handling Examiner’s refusals, opposition proceedings, cancellation proceedings (applications for revocation, applications for invalidity) and appeals before the EUIPO. We offer high quality services at competitive fees and always inform about all costs before taking any action.

Our firm was founded in 1912 by Achilles Sakellarides, who practiced law for 57 years in Thessaloniki in northern Greece and established an excellent reputation for the firm. John Sakellarides continued his father’s law practice, focusing on industrial property and commercial law. He merged with the office of Dr. Aristides Kalliklis in the 1970s. From 1968 until 2003 John Sakellarides held the position of General Secretary of the Greek Association of Inventors. Today, the law firm is directed by his daughter Vali Sakellarides, Attorney at Law in Athens.

Our offices are located in Athens, in the historical district of Plaka, at the foot of the Acropolis.
